HARTFORD, Ky. — The City of Hartford is advising motorists to use caution as roadway improvements begin on Oakwood Drive.
Crews will be blacktopping Oakwood Drive, beginning near Wayland Elementary School and continuing toward Oakwood Cemetery. As part of the project, both sides of the roadway are being widened to improve safety and help ease congestion, particularly during busy school arrival and dismissal times.
Motorists should expect construction equipment and workers in the area and may experience minor traffic delays while work is underway.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as these improvements are completed,” commented Mayor Beau Wright. “This project is an investment in safer and more efficient roadways.”
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and follow any posted traffic control measures while traveling through the work zone.
The City of Hartford thanks the community for its cooperation as these important infrastructure improvements are completed.
