City of Hartford Invites Families to Summer Block Party and School Supply Drive at Ellis Park

HARTFORD, KY — The City of Hartford is excited to invite residents and visitors to a free community Block Party and School Supply Drive on Friday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ellis Park.

This family-friendly event will feature a variety of free activities and attractions, including water slides, a splash zone, snow cones, games, and more. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, spend the day at the park, and enjoy an afternoon of fun with friends and neighbors.

The event is being hosted through a partnership between the City of Hartford, Hartford Baptist Church, the Hartford Police Department, and the Hartford Fire Department as part of a community-wide effort to celebrate summer while supporting local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of school supplies to help local students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Requested items include notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, folders, glue sticks, and other classroom essentials. Bring school supplies for a chance to dunk the mayor or another Hartford Sorehead in a dunk tank!

Waterslides, snow cones, and splash zones are free. Community members of all ages are welcome to attend.
