The popular Golden Egg Hunt returns to Hartford May 1-3 as The Derby Dash!
A total of 12 Golden Eggs will be hidden throughout the city in public outdoor locations. All eggs will be hidden outdoors on public property only, and participants should not enter private property at any time. Eggs will be placed no higher than five feet above the ground – and as with the Kentucky Derby – this is rain or shine.
Each Golden Egg will contain a Golden Ticket, which must be fully completed with all required information and returned to Hartford City Hall by 3:00 p.m. on May 3. Tickets may be submitted either in person during regular business hours or through the after-hours drop box.
One Golden Ticket per household is permitted, and photocopied or duplicate tickets will not be accepted. Winners will be notified at the phone number provided on the ticket, so participants should ensure their contact information is accurate and legible. Participants assume all risks associated with the activity, and no trespassing is allowed.

Golden Tickets must be completely filled out with the required information and submitted to Hartford City Hall by the deadline. The ticket dropped off in person at Hartford City Hall OR may be turned in using the after-hours drop-box at City Hall. Winners will be notified using the provided phone number on the ticket, therefore must be an active number and the writing must be legible. ONE LARGE EGG/Golden Ticket per household, please. Golden Tickets without the authentication details will be eliminated. Copies of the Golden Tickets are NOT acceptable entries. No TRESSPASSING. All eggs are hidden on public property, no higher than 5 foot above the ground. Participants assume any and all risk.
