Golden Eggs Hidden Across Hartford for “Derby Dash” Event

The City of Hartford’s popular Golden Egg Hunt has officially returned, rebranded this year as “The Derby Dash,” running May 1–3.

As part of the event, 12 Golden Eggs will be hidden in outdoor public spaces throughout the duration of the event, giving residents a chance to explore Hartford while searching for a prize. Three tickets will be drawn for the chance to win a gift card!

Dash (safely) to these locations to look for Golden Eggs:

  • Bike Trail
  • Ellis Park
  • Courthouse Square
  • Hartford Historical Markers
  • Hartford Boat Ramp
  • Main Street
  • Ohio County Park

As a reminder, here are a list of important rules and guidlines:

  • One Golden Ticket per household
  • No photocopies or duplicate tickets will be accepted
  • Tickets must include valid, legible contact information
  • Winners will be notified via the phone number provided
  • No trespassing – all eggs are hidden on public property only
  • Eggs will be placed no higher than five feet above the ground
  • This is a rain-or-shine event
  • Participants assume all risks associated with the activity
