The City of Hartford is excited to announce a major update to the Hartford Area Resource Transportation System (HARTS), designed to improve accessibility and convenience for community members.
Beginning Monday, August 5, 2024, HARTS will begin accepting phone calls to schedule pick-up and return transportation.
Riders can now simply call 270-993-HART (4278) between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to arrange transportation based on their individual needs. This new system is designed to enhance flexibility and ensure that all residents can access essential services, shopping, and appointments with greater ease.
“We’re always looking for new ways to better serve our residents,” said a representative from Hartford City Hall. “This phone-based scheduling option allows us to support riders who may not be able to meet the scheduled stops or who need extra flexibility.”
