Local youths recognized for acts of service during April flooding

The City of Hartford recognized five local young men for their efforts to help others during the severe flooding that impacted the area in early April. Jayden Peech, Gaven Peech, Chandler Blandford, Petey Graham, and Eathan Taylor were honored for stepping in to assist residents as they evacuated their homes during the emergency.

Chief of Police York and Mayor Wright presented the group with two awards: a Commendation for Public Service and the Hartford Sorehead Award. Their actions, taken without expectation of recognition, reflect a strong sense of community and care for others.

“These young men made a real difference in a difficult situation,” said Chief York. “We are grateful for their profound impact on the lives of others.”

The City of Hartford appreciates their willingness to help and thanks them for their contributions during a challenging time.
