OctoberFest 2025 Set for Oct. 24-25, 2025

The City of Hartford is excited to host the 2025 OctoberFest this weekend – October 24-25 in downtown Hartford.

See the * — it’s FREE thanks to community sponsors, the City of Hartford and Hartford City Council.

Friday, October 24

Block Party night begins at 4pm with food trucks, vendors, paddle boats* and bumper cars* open until 8pm!

Live music* from Barrett begins at 6pm with an hour set before The Bombers take the stage from 7:30pm-9:30pm.

Bring your carved pumpkins* to Hartford City Hall between 6:30pm – 7pm to register for a pumpkin carving contest! Judging will begin at 7pm.

Saturday, October 25

Sorehead 5k – Race day registration opens at 7am in front of the Ohio County Jail with the race beginning at 8am! Race day registration is $30 (save $5 by registering with the Wellness Center by the 24!)

Awards will be presented upon completion of the 5k!

Food Trucks and Vendors open at 9AM – 6PM with a variety of treats, handmade goods, and fun products! Vendors will be throughout downtown, including down Main Street!

Fall Family Fun – Community Center! From 10-6, enjoy mini golf*, paddle boats*, bumper cars*, and a petting zoo* (sponsored by Jason Bullock). The petting zoo is free and has the option to buy feeding cups to treat the animals.

From 10-4pm Hartford Baptist Church will host a family fun zone with S’more Station* and hay ride*!

Cornhole Tournament will be hosted between the Community Center and Hartford Baptist Church. Registration is at 11am and the tournament begins at 12noon. $20 entry fee, double elimination, 100% payback to teams. BYOBags and partner. 10+ teams pay out to 1-3. 9 or less pay out to 1-2.

Costume Contests* for humans and pets begins with registration at 1pm outside of Hartford City Hall. The judging will begin at 2pm with award categories for humans (most creative, best pun) and pets (best in show, funniest, and most creative). An award for best of both (human/pet combo) will also be up for grabs.

Golf Cart Contest* gives you a chance to dress up your golf cart for awards for boo-tiful ride, coziest cart, and best costume combo. Registration from 3-4pm in front of Hartford City Hall with judging at 4:30p.

Chili and Pie Contests* lets you show-off your kitchen skills. Awards for best of chili, best of pie and judges’ choice for apple and pumpkin pie; noodle and noodle-free chili. Registration outside of Hartford City Hall from 4-5pm with judging at 5pm.

Parking is available behind the Community Center and next to 99.9Z (across HWY 231/Main Street from the Ohio County Jail).

Approved vendors can begin setting up at 1pm on Friday, October 24 – vendor maps were sent on Friday, Oct. 17 to the provided email address. However, a map with the approved vendor list will be available upon arrival.
